Long courses at Diget Folk High School
Diget Folk High School offers two types of long term courses of 16 weeks duration:
The Combination of Subjects
Have you yet not decided in what direction your life or education should go? Do you need a timeout to clarify yourself before making an important decision for your future? Or do you need to broad your horizons and make a international network of friends?
If you are just about to starting out your career, you can pursue one of your interests in art, nature, outdoor, language and culture at Diget Folk High School in Denmark. If you have already entered the work force, a stay at Diget Folk High School will give you the possibility of a timeout, broaden your horizons or maybe even choosing a new career path. Your past training and experience may qualify you for a wide range of careers you may not have considered before your stay at Diget Folk High School.
Diget Folk High School admits students from different East European countries supported by the Cirius Program and some lessons will be in English in order to accommodate the students. Students participating in the Cirius Program have to attend a special main subject.
Main Subjects
Put together your schedule within the following main subjects: Art, nature & outdoor and language & culture.

Art
There are many possibilities for creative activities in Digets fantastic tree storey workshop. Drawing, painting, ceramics, kiln formed glas, willow wickerwork, papermaking and art history...

Nature & outdoor
Tracking, biking, canoeing, map and compass, nature study, astronomy and outdoor cooking...

Language & culture
Improve your English and Danish, learn about the modern EU, politics and democracy, education and educational politics.
Minor subjects
Beside the main subjects you have the possibility to choose some of the following subjects:
First Aid, computer, golf, writing workshop, narrative workshop, music, singing, guitar, psychology, philosophy, nutrition and body awareness through sports and physical activities.
Some lectures, workshops, project days, excursions, morning assembly and physical activities are jointed with the other long term course: The Health Education.

The Health Education
The Health Education at Diget Folk High School is a long term course of 16 weeks duration. The Health Education is primarily for Danish students and teaching at this specific course will only be in Danish. The Health Education will prepare students in the best possible way for a career in the professional health sector. Whether you want to become a doctor, a nurse, a physiotherapist or the like this is the course you want to attend.
The education is partly directed towards a professional introduction, and partly directed towards a personal development and clarification. The Health Education at Diget Folk High School will be a fine ballast for further education within the proffesional health sector.
